I’ve been doing karate and MMA at the best karate school in Miami for many years. I have an 8-year-old son who has watched me practice all my life, with awe, who I think would enjoy participating. That’s why I’m looking for a place that offers specially-tailored childrens karate in Miami. An all-kids class would probably be a better learning environment for him, not to mention a safer one, given that sparring is part of practicing the sport. If anyone has a suggestion (I’ve heard AKI is good) please feel free to share.

There is for most of the year, it’s simply too hot to get regular exercise outdoors in Miami unless you serve. So what’s a gal to do to stay in shape in the sauna that is Miami? Martial arts training are one of the best options I can think of. A constant schedule of classes makes it convenient. MMA and karate schools are air conditioned. The skills taught make me confident as a single woman that I could protect myself if I needed to. And the regular activity keeps me in shape, gives me a outlet to release stress from work, and is a disciplinary practice that makes it easier for me to make myself do all the things I need to do each and every day.
