OMG. Anne sat me across from this medical malpractice lawyer in Chicago who says he can get me 10 million dollars for my car accident! I nearly choked on my coq au vin. His name is Jason Kroot and he says that because the car insurance company overlooked the mistakes of my doctor, and since they cover his malpractice liability, that they had a serious conflict of interest in my case and therefore were deceptive in their investigation of his wrong doing. I am very glad to have met this intelligent and persusasive lawyer and will let you all know how it goes.

I didn’t go to law school expecting to become a personal injury lawyer. Chicago was, after all, where you went to become a supreme court justice, or maybe a class action litigator taking on populist causes and reaping unfathomable awards from them. But it just so happened that fate, in the form of a slippery floor at O’hare airport, led me to take personal injury and the complaints of those injured by negligence a lot more seriously.
